EMPOWERING AND SKILL DEVELOPMENT IN ECONOMIC RECOVERY

The initiative "A House Retrieving from Economic Crisis" addresses the harsh financial challenges many Sri Lankan families face. Partnering with World Vision, this project aims to alleviate inflation's impact and guide families towards financial recovery.

A significant part of the project was an awareness program for the youth, designed to instill entrepreneurship and resourcefulness. It encouraged young people to find innovative ways to support their communities financially.

Additionally, the project launched a business startup program for 20 economically affected women, providing them with tools and training to initiate their own businesses. Success stories from these women include ventures in candle making and sewing, showcasing their journey from skills development to income generation.

Support was also extended to existing small businesses. One notable example involved aiding a woman with a handcraft business to expand her market reach, significantly boosting her sales.

Furthermore, the project promoted self-sustainability through home gardening by distributing seeds and fertilizers to families, enabling them to grow their own food and improve their economic situation.

Through these actions, "A House Retrieving from Economic Crisis" not only offers immediate assistance but also empowers families for long-term stability, emphasizing the power of community and resilience in overcoming economic challenges.
