A child’s imagination is limitless - but classrooms without digital resources often restrict learning to blackboards and printed text. Lessons that should inspire wonder become confined to words and static images.
Picture a science class: the human heart explained through a few diagrams on paper. For most students, it remains abstract. Now imagine the same lesson brought to life with a digital hub - an animated beating heart, blood flowing through arteries, and AI-powered quizzes adjusting to each child’s pace. Geography becomes a journey across interactive maps, and history unfolds through immersive visuals and timelines. With interactive and AI tools, abstract ideas transform into experiences that children can see, explore, and truly understand.
The Digital Hub Project by WTW Lanka was created to make this vision a reality for schools that lack access to digital learning. Each hub transforms a traditional classroom into an interactive digital learning space, giving students access to modern, engaging, and equitable education.
Each Digital Hub includes:
43” display screen and 21” monitor
Computer (CPU, keyboard, mouse)
Sound system and TV bracket
UPS / power surge protector
Teacher’s table and chair
One-year internet connection
Access to Ministry of Education–approved e-libraries and digital tools
Printed and digital usage guidelines in Sinhala, Tamil, and English
Each fully equipped Digital Hub costs approximately USD 1,300 per hub and is implemented with 0% administrative cost, ensuring every resource directly benefits the schools.
Through this project, WTW Lanka aims to open digital doors for thousands of students, helping them learn through exploration rather than memorization. It empowers teachers to integrate technology confidently into their lessons and prepares entire school communities for a future shaped by knowledge and innovation.
