WTW Lanka, in collaboration with Headway Learning Solutions (HLS) and in coordination with the American Coner Batticaloa, successfully conducted a dynamic teacher training workshop for government school teachers in Batticaloa.
Unlike a typical lecture-style session, this workshop was highly interactive and engaging, giving teachers the chance to actively participate in activities while exploring modern approaches to classroom teaching.
The training covered a range of timely topics, including innovative methods for teaching grammar and vocabulary, comparing traditional and modern teaching practices, introductions to flipped classrooms and blended learning models, and the use of digital language learning applications such as NEO (DynEd).
By bringing together innovative strategies, digital tools, and collaborative discussions, the workshop provided teachers with practical skills and fresh perspectives they can take back to their classrooms. With the support of the American Corner Batticaloa, this initiative not only enhanced professional development but also strengthened the connection between educators and global learning resources.
