Garden Makeover in a low-income school in Batticaloa

As part of the Pre-Summit 2025 initiative, participants worked together on a meaningful community service project at a low-income school in Batticaloa. One of the key highlights of the day was the complete makeover of the school's garden.

The participants began by cleaning up the garden, which had become overrun with wild, unknown plants. They cleared the space, ensuring it was ready for new growth. After tidying the area, the team built a protective fence around the garden to safeguard it from future damage. In addition, they donated a variety of plants and seeds to the school, ensuring the garden would thrive in the years to come.

They also contributed garden tools to help maintain the space, leaving behind the necessary equipment to cultivate and nurture the garden.

This community project not only made a visible difference to the school’s environment but also provided participants with an invaluable experience of teamwork, creativity, and giving back.

The garden makeover created a lasting impact on both the school and the participants, leaving behind a vibrant space that will continue to grow and inspire future generations.
