Why Invest in Women’s and Child Welfare?
The focus on Women's and Child Welfare in Sri Lanka is pivotal for fostering a healthier, more educated, and prosperous society. Addressing the specific needs of women and children in areas such as education, health, and protection is essential. These groups often face severe challenges, including exploitation, discrimination, and abuse, which can impede their development and well-being. Effective interventions in these areas are critical to building a safer and more equitable society.
How We Address These Needs
Our project aims to enhance the welfare of women and children through multifaceted strategies. We are committed to ensuring access to quality education and critical healthcare services, protecting children from exploitation, and empowering women through skills development and entrepreneurship opportunities. Our approaches include building and renovating educational facilities, conducting healthcare outreach programs, providing legal support, and offering vocational training. We also engage communities to advocate for the rights of women and children. Despite ongoing challenges, particularly in rural and conflict-affected areas, our efforts are geared towards overcoming societal and economic barriers, promoting an inclusive society where women and children can thrive.
